The grammy goes to

We pack our lunches most everyday. This is the amount of Tupperware I removed from the dishwasher yesterday.

Exactly TWO people live in my house.

Ridiculous.

I passionately believe that this is the kind of thing for which they should give Grammys:

Done and done.

(Until it starts all over again tomorrow. )

P.S. If you feel like you need to save old Cool Whip containers etc when you are sending someone away with food from your home (very hospitable of you, by the way), just store those somewhere else. They just tend to clutter up your everyday Tupperware storage area.

  1. Say your kitchen isn't fit with those awesome deep drawers like the one where you store your Tupperware, and you're just working with a normal cupboard with a door. How would you store your Tupperware then? Gratefully, Swimming in Tupperware (Minneapolis, MN)

Thanks for your question. Here are some thoughts.
-See if you can be deliberate for a few weeks to make sure you don't have more than you need. If you own more than you would ever use all at one time, pair it down by purging and/or store extra in another area of your home.
-Putting all your lids in a container and pulling down that container is a good start to declutting that space. Pulling down a container of lids makes it easier to match the container you have pre-chosen.
-Depending on your collection of tupperware, you may want to code them with a sharpie. So like if you 12 containers, you can put a (1) on the top that matches the (1) base. Or if you have some blue tops, some clear tops, some white tops, you can make picking the lid out a little quicker by labeling that base with (W) for white or (B) for black etc., so you head straight for that color top and don't waste a lot of time looking at all the lids that match your pre-chosen base.
-Keeping the tupperware in the lowest cabinet you have is better, since tupperware easily tumbles.
-If you have extra money in your budget and want to buy new, you can decide to limit your purchases to just two shapes, so they easily stack.
      Hope that helps!
